Butterballs
Ingredients
1 cup butter 1 TO 2 cups almonds or pecans, ground
1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar 1 TAB. vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups flour
Directions
- Cream butter. Gradually add sugar and salt, creaming well.
- Stir in almonds and vanilla.
- Add flour gradually; mix thoroughly.
- Shape by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls or crescents. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. Do not brown.
- Roll warm in confectioners' sugar.
- Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
