1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 Tablespoons milk
1 cup (8 ounces) candied cherries
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chopped Brazil nuts or filberts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Sift flour with salt, cinnamon, and baking soda.
Cream butter. Add brown sugar, vanilla and milk; cream well.
Add dry ingredients gradually; mix thoroughly.
Stir in cherries and nuts.
Divide dough in half.
Shape into roll, 12 inches long; wrap in wax paper; chill 4-6 hours or overnight.
Cut into 1/4 inch slices. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
