Cinnamon Supper Cake

Ingredients:

3/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup shortening

1 egg unbeaten

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup milk

1 cup sifted flour

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 Tablespoon butter or margarine

3 Tablespoons powdered sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 375° F
  • Gradually add sugar to shortening - cream until fluffy
  • Add egg; beat well
  • Add vanilla, milk, flour, baking powder and salt; beat smooth
  • Bake in 9-inch round pan or 8-inch square pan at 375° F for 20-25 minutes.
  • Spread butter on cake
  • Sift sugar and cinnamon over cake
  • Serve warm
