¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup butter or margarine
½ cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk (reserve white)
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon maple flavor, if desired
2/3 cups pecan halves, cut in half lengthwise

Ingredients for frosting:

½ cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
3 Tablespoons cream
¼ cup confectioner's sugar
1 Tablespoon butter or margarine

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  5. For frosting, melt chocolate morsels and cream in small saucepan. Add confectioner's sugar and butter; mix well.
