Starlight, Indiana is just north of Louisville, Kentucky in southern Indiana. We learned about it while looking for Indiana wineries to visit on our annual Memorial Day weekend trip to Marion, Illinois to visit family. Our first daughter was 15 months old and eager to explore.

We first stopped at the Huber Orchard and Winery, which offers tastings and sales of several wine varieties, including strawberry wine. Grown-ups will enjoy the fresh produce in the farm market. Kids will love visiting the petting zoo and seeing the ducks, geese and fish in the pond.

Next, we drove a few miles to Joe Huber's Family Farm and Restaurant for a substantial country dinner, including stawberry shortcake.

Starlight, Indiana is a pleasant diversion for anyone traveling on Interstate 64.
