Perhaps the most well-known outdoor activity in Cincinnati is a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden. The zoo features animal and plant species from across the globe. Some stand-out exhibits are the Jungle Trials, Manatee Springs and the new Polar Bear exhibit.

Cincinnati boasts a large number of parks throughout the metro area maintained by the Cincinnati Park Service. Eden Park is just minutes from downtown and offers spectacular views of the Cincinnati skyline and the Ohio River. Eden Park is also home to the Krohn Conservatory and the Cincinnati Art Museum. Ault Park's scenic overlook and gardens make it a popular spot for outdoor weddings.

Surrounding Hamilton County boasts its own park system. Many of the parks, such as Sharon Woods and Miami Whitewater, have paved hiking/biking trails and play areas for children.

Cincinnati is also home to the renouned Cincinnati Flower Show, which is held each April.
