We made a trek to Harrison after reading about the Harrison Home Bakery in the Cincinnati Enquirer. We weren't disappointed by the springerle cookies, nor the homemade danish. We had just eaten lunch at the Market Street Grille, so we weren't hungry enough to try their famous Christmas stollen.

The service at the Market Street Grille was lacking, but the homemade soups and salads made a great lunch on a windy December afternoon. The fresh homemade loaf of bread was the perfect complement.

Nearby Miami Whitewater Forest is a 4,279 acre county park featuring an 18-hole golf course and a 7.8 mile hike/bike trail. Parents and kids alike will appreciate the water park during the hot summer months.

Stop in Harrison for lunch on your next trip to Metamora, Indiana. Take I-74 west from Cincinnati and take the New Haven Road exit, the last one before crossing into Indiana.
